Hello everybody!

In this guide I will be showing you the steps needed to install the Desktop on CentOS 7 on the minimal install.

The first step is to make sure you have the most up to date packages.

sudo yum update

Once you have updated the system, you can install the desktop by

sudo yum groupinstall "GNOME Desktop" "Graphical Administration Tools" -y

After this, we can enable the gui and reboot. When the system restarts, you should be greeted with the CentOS Desktop login screen.

sudo ln -sf /lib/systemd/system/runlevel5.target /etc/systemd/system/default.target; sudo reboot
