How to Find Networking Info from CMD on Windows XP

Opening CMD through Run in Windows XP

Open the ‘Start Menu’ and click the link where it says ‘Run’.


If you open that up and then another window should appear. If you then type in cmd and click ‘Ok’, you would have then opened up Command Prompt. (This should look like a black box.)



Finding your Network Information

Once you have opened Command Prompt, you can then simply type in ‘ipconfig’ or ‘ipconfig /all’ for more detailed information.
