How to Change Hostname on CentOS

In this tutorial, I will be showing you how you can change your CentOS servers hostname. If we look in to the networks configurations file, we should be able to change this. 

nano /etc/sysconfig/network

We can change the hostname here to something we like instead.I will be setting my hostname to inferno.wilson18.com.

Once you have done this, you can restart your network. If these changes are still not taken into effect, then you can just reboot your server.

service network restart
