In this Guide I Will be showing you how you can set up a clean copy of debian (without a GUI) as a web server.

The first thing you will need to do is log in to your server with the root log in (or do sudo su). Before we get started, you should make sure that all of your packages are up to date. To do this, you will need to type in:

apt-get_update.jpg

Once you have done that, you will need to install two packages. One as a web server and the other as the sql server. To do this, you type the following:

apt-get install apache2 mysql-server

When installing, you may be asked if you would like to continue. You should type ‘Y’ and then click enter. Next you will be asked to choose a password for your new mysql root user.

After choosing the password, you will then need to repeat it.

CONGRATZ. YOUR DONE!
